ConSol is trusted by the building industry, utility sector, and regulators to serve as an independent evaluator and moderator during the building code development process.
Our team ensures that builders, manufacturers, and utilities are fully informed about the potential financial and operational impacts of proposed code changes. We leverage our deep industry knowledge to advocate for code changes that are cost-effective and practical for industry. We also work with regulators to ensure they understand industry stakeholders’ concerns and help them avoid any potential barriers by finding mutually beneficial approaches to delivering proposed changes.
ConSol has supported the building industry through every triennial California Energy Code development cycle since 1983, and our active representation has directly influenced new rules that support builders, utility, and governments and encourage compliance and implementation.
